On June 11, 2021, CCI Learning hosted the first annual Microsoft Office Specialist Canadian National Championship. This competition tests the skills of students aged 13 to 22 years old on Microsoft Office applications.
The best in Canada competed in the championship to be crowned the Microsoft Office Specialist Canadian National Champion 2021 in the following platforms:
- Microsoft Word (Microsoft 365 Apps and Office 2019)
- Microsoft Excel (Microsoft 365 Apps and Office 2019)
- Microsoft PowerPoint (Microsoft 365 Apps and Office 2019)
To qualify to compete, students had to pass one of the exams from above between June 16, 2019, and May 14. Of those that passed, the top 5 students that had the highest scores and completed the fastest were selected to compete.
The winners of this year’s competition are as follows:
For each category, there was a prize for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. The candidates that placed 1st will be receiving a $1,500 scholarship (CAD), a medal of achievement, and a certificate. The candidates that placed 2nd and 3rd will receive a $1,000 (CAD) and $500 (CAD) scholarship respectively, along with a medal of achievement, and a certificate.
The candidates that placed 1st in each category will also have the opportunity to represent Canada on a global stage at the Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship.
